CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS

Members shall:-

1. At all times dress sensibly and conduct themselves in a proper manner so as not to discredit The Association

2. When asked for advice on footballing matters by outside agencies refer the matter to the Office Staff for up to date information. This is because the Football Association often amends Rules and Regulations at short notice.

3. From time to time be required to undertake certain duties and functions by Officers of The Association and these must be accepted unless there is good reason not to do so.

4. Attend all Council and Committee Meetings of which they are Members the exception being The Disciplinary Committee where attendance is regulated by the Hon. Secretary.

5. Attend football matches on behalf of The Association of which ample notice will be given and submit the relevant reports to the appropriate Officer.

6. In the event of being unable to fulfill any obligation to communicate with either the Association Secretary or appropriate Committee Secretary within 3 days of receipt of notification of the required attendance giving reasons for the non attendance.

Any breach of this Code of Conduct will be reported to the Directors of The Association for consideration of any action taking into account in particular Article 45 of The Articles of Association.
