The Hertfordshire Football Association’s Policy is to ensure that employees are recruited, developed, remunerated and promoted on the basis of their skills and suitability for the work performed.
The Association is committed to making full use of the talents and resources of all its employees and to ensure that no employees receive less favorable treatment on the grounds of their gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, religion, belief, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, trade union membership, part time or fixed term status.
All forms of discrimination, by any person within the Association are to be treated seriously, a record must be kept of any such incidents. It must be made clear that any such behaviour is unacceptable.
The definition of a racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person.
Any such incident must be reported immediately to the Chief Executive Officer or the Association Chairman.
The Associations aim is to assist employees to understand their role in ensuring that football is open to all members of the community and to fulfil their responsibilities in tackling discrimination and harassment.
