Community Sport Networks

Community Sports Networks (CSN) are groups of local individuals and volunteers involved in sport and physical activity.

There are 10 CSNs in Hertfordshire within each of the local districts. The CSNs bring together numerous organisations and sectors e.g. sports clubs, health services, facility providers, schools, the police and local councils to name just a few.

What Does A CSN Do?

The focus of CSN’s is on identifying local need and developing a community sports plan. Once developed, the CSN can:

  • attract funding to support the development of clubs, coaches and volunteers
  • promote the benefits of sport and physical activity
  • encourage a wider take up of sporting opportunities
  • act as the local voice for sport and physical activity – feeding back up to the Herts Sports Partnership.
