The FA Umbro Fives is a 5a Side competition that gives anyone the chance to grace the hallowed turf at Wembley Stadium in London.
Current Men's Small Sided Champions - MacDaddies
Debuting in 2007 the tournament consists of the following stages:
- Local qualifying heats will kick-off around the country for your first step towards Wembley.
- Each qualifying heat will send their top teams through to one of eight regional finals held at some of the prime 5a side centres in England
- Teams will battle it out during the regional finals for a place in the Wembley Finals event next summer where both men's and women's battle it out for the title of best 5a Side team in England.
- And those who think The FA UMBRO Fives Finals event is out of reach can think again, as 8 'lucky losers' teams knocked out during the local qualifiers will be selected at random to play in their own mini-final, also at Wembley.
Hertfordshire has been extremely successful in this competition with Watford Ladies FC winning the first ever Women's Umbro Fives competition in 2007 and again in 2009, in addition to this the 2008 finals saw Nirankari FC qualify for the national finals and reached the quarter final stage.
