- Boro Launch Women’s Academy
Stevenage FC is pleased to announce the launch of its brand new Women’s Football Academy in partnership with North Hertfordshire College. The 3 year course which will start in September 2010 will provide local females aged 16-19 with the opportunity to pursue a playing career in the world’s fastest growing sport, whilst obtaining one of the following qualifications: · BTEC Introductory Diploma in Sport & Leisure Level 1. · BTEC First Diploma in Sport Level 2. · BTEC National Certificate in Sport Level 3 (equivalent to two A Levels). · A Levels. Following a successful academic interview with North Hertfordshire College prospective students will be invited to trials which will take place at 12pm on Wednesday 4th August 2010 at the Stevenage Football Academy. Anybody aged 15-18 years old who is interested in joining the Academy should contact North Hertfordshire College Enrolment Department on 01462 424242 (course code: FOTHWLFA FH149), as well as fill in a trial form found which can be downloaded at www.stevenageborofc.com
- Female Academy - Watford FC's CSE Trust in partnership with West Herts College has launched a new female academy for footballers between the ages of 16 and 19 years old. For more information please visit the 'WFC Female Ademy' section to the left of the page.
- Calling All Ladies in Hertfordshire Kick Yourself Fit Sessions-Now on throughout the summer. If you haven't been able to come along yet or for the last few weeks, it's never to late and with the sessions now extending over the summer months, the participants who have been coming over the last 10 weeks can tell you, you won't be expected to perform keepie-uppies, head the ball or score a hat-trick!!
Wednesday's 7-8pm, Stevenage Borough Football Academy, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, SG2 8RH starting this Wednesday 14th July at only £2 per session. The great thing about the kick yourself fit sessions and women's football is you can just be yourself. It’s for all fitness levels and abilities, especially if you haven't played for a while or have never played before - everyone is welcome!

- The FA Announce Super League Teams The FA Women's Super League taking shape. The Football Association announced on Monday 22nd March 2010 the eight clubs that were successful with their applications to be part of the new FA Women’s Super League, launching in March 2011. The following clubs will be offered two year licences for the 2011 and 2012 seasons:-
