Representative Teams

The Hertfordshire Football Association have three County Representative teams, Boys Under 16, Boys Under 18 and Womens.

The managers of these teams together with their assistants watch as many games as possible throughout the season, not only looking for new players for the current season but also, especially in the case of Boys Under 16, looking for players at Under 15 level in the current season as possible recruits to the following seasons team.

All three teams play in the various sections of the East Anglian Counties Competition:

Boys Under 16 Section - The Boardman Trophy
Games will be played against Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk

Boys Under 18 Section - The Len Cordell Trophy
Games will be played against Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Womens Section - The Fred Welham Trophy
Games will be played against Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk

In each section teams play each other on a league basis

The Boys U18 team also play in The FA County Youth Cup which is played on a knockout basis.

At the end of the 2008/2009 season Stewart Hunt stepped down as Manager of our Womens team and has been succeeded by Alan Ackrell who is also our County Football Development Officer (Education) and we wish him well with the task he faces this season.

In mid September Julian Robinson, who was the Manager of our Boys Under 16 and Under 18 teams resigned his position due mainly to pressure of his work.

It was decided that we would have separate managers for our Boys teams and we are pleased to announce Ryan Brooke and Dave Lewis have been appointed Under 18 and Under 18 teams respectively.
