In order to affiliate to the County all youth football clubs must have appointed a Club Welfare Officer who has at least an “in progress” CRB check. They will undergo further training through the Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officers Workshops.
Many people have come into post not knowing much about the role and this seminar is designed to help them understand more about the role and some of the tasks that may be expected of them.
There will be a presentation on CRB, how to use the online CRB report plus an opportunity to answer questions. The presentations will repeat throughout the evening so attendees can drop in at anytime.
There is an opportunity to meet Richard Drake the County Welfare Officer plus other staff and council members.
