Last night (Tuesday) the inaugural Hertfordshire FA County Awards were held at Vicarage Road Stadium, Watford.
Recognising all walks of football from including coaching, refereeing, administrators and clubs over 140 people were in attendance along with specials guests Kelly Simmons MBE (FA Head of National Game), Darren Lawrence (FA East Regional Development Manager) and Rob Smith (Watford FC Community Director).
On the night Charter Standard Clubs were recognised along with Coach and Administrator of the Year, in addition to this referee's were included into the awards with Referee Achievement, Most Promising Referee and Long Service awards all picked up by respective recipients.
On the night, a raffle of sports memorabilia and sports equipment was donated by Phil Sharp, Redyset, Umbro and Watford FC, which raised nearly £250 for the Bobby Moore Cancer Fund and Herts Air Ambulance charities.
Photo's will be available from the evening on DE Photo's website (right) in due course and starting Monday 8th June, Hertfordshire FA will be highlighting one award a day on the home page to pay tribute to not only the winners but also the nominees and the fine work they have done this year.
