For the forthcoming season due to start later this month, The FA have introduced changes to the discipline process that clubs, referees, administrators, leagues and all involved in the game need to be aware of.

Admin Fees

 The cost of an admin fee has increased to £10.00.

Football Debt Recovery

 There has been a change in stage 2 of the Football Debt Recovery Scheme the County supplies:

o “If payment has not been received the club may request in writing a suspension of the participant. The County should be approached within 28 days of formal payment being requested in writing and within 112 days of the debt being incurred”

Charges

 Due to changes in the regulations there are now 4 options in the response to charges:

(a) Accept the charge and punishment and request any correspondence I submit to be considered

(b) Rebut the charge and submit written evidence to be considered by a Disciplinary Commission at a hearing not attended by the player.

(c) Admit the charge and submit an application, with the appropriate fee to attend a Disciplinary Commission to make a plea in mitigation.

(d) Request a Personal Hearing

And 5 options in response to Standard charges:

(a) I accept the charge and the punishment offered

(b) I accept the charge and wish to make a plea of mitigation

(c) I do not accept the charge and enclose written correspondence to be heard in my absence

(d) I accept the charge, pay the appropriate fee and wish to attend a hearing to put forward a verbal plea of mitigation

(e) Request a Personal Hearing

 We will now be implementing alternative charges. This means you may receive a lesser charge of the offence you have committed. We also are implementing multiple charges where if you commit more than one offence it will be detailed in one charge on the pro forma

 If you receive any Multiple/Alternative Charges and are unsure how to deal with them please contact a member of Staff in the Discipline Department.
