St Clements Danes School have reached the last 16 of the English Schools FA National Cup equalling the best ever run in the competition for the Chorleywood school.

Their under 18 side started off their campaign with a 3-1 victory away at local school Parmiters which was followed by a last minute winner away at Mount Grace. In the next round the team faced Hastingbury Business and Enterprise College at home. The match finished 1-1 but St Clement Danes came through 5-4 victory on penalties. In round 5 they travelled to a tricky away tie at Sharnbrook Upper School from Rushden but came away with a 3-0 victory.

Just before the end of term they travelled to Nene Park Academy in Peterborough. After taking an early lead they were pegged back just before half time and with 25 minutes remaining scored what proved to be the winner and came away with a 2-1 victory.

They now face a trip to West Suffolk to play Thurston Community College.

Hertfordshire FA wishes St Clement Danes all the best for the latter stages of the competition.
