Places are now available for a new first aid course which is being held at Hertfordshire FA’s headquarters.
The course is taking place over three evenings in March.
The FA Basic Sports First Aid course is aimed specifically at coaches, teachers, parents and volunteers.
It aims to provide students with the knowledge to recognise major and minor injuries - and the ability to offer basic first aid and advice to a participant who has been hurt.
The course has been divided into three distinct modules:
• General principles of first aid and emergency aid:
• Common musculo-skeletal Injuries, on-field assessment and basic first aid management
• Medical conditions, the First Aid kit and “after-incident” Issues
Students must be 16 years of age or over on the date of the start of the course. The course, which costs £60, takes place between 7pm and 10pm on March 5, March 11 and March 18.
It will be held at Hertfordshire FA’s County Ground, Baldock Road, Letchworth, SG6 2EN.
