#SheCanCoach

An new initiative for all female coaches in Hertfordshire!

She Can Coach is an exciting new initiative from the Hertfordshire FA to encourage, promote and support new and existing female coaches, wishing to start or continue their involvement in coaching football across the county.

Steered by a diverse group of women currently involved in the game, the She Can Coach network already includes female coaches with links to the Hertfordshire FA, Arsenal Ladies FC, Watford Ladies FC and the grassroots game.

"We’ve seen the changes and increase in female partcipipation within the county but now we need to develop the role models that help develop those players – the coaches!”

The She Can Coach initiative will offer female coaches across Hertfordshire the opportunity to apply for FA Coach Education course funding, in addition to personal advice and support from FA Coach Mentors.

Other benefits of registering with She Can Coach include access to female only CPD workshops and a bi-weekly guest blog from local professional & grassroots coaches about their development in the game.

The launch comes as more than 22,000 girls across the nation have signed up to participate in sessions during the FA Girls Football week.  From Monday 25 April through until Sunday 1 May, girls around England will be taking part in female-specific sessions at clubs, community groups, wider educational establishments and other organisations are also being invited to run female-specific sessions.

Female coaches can become a registered member of the She Can Coach network for free on the Hertfordshire FA website, and can expect be involved with identifying and reducing boundaries for female coaches.
