Vacancy: Marketing Officer

Arsenal Women Football Club (AWFC)is seeking to appoint a part-time Marketing Officer.

Arsenal Women Football Club (AWFC) is one of the most successful female football clubs in the history of the women's game. It prides itself on maintaining high standards and delivering excellence.

The primary purpose of this role is to work alongside the current AWFC Marketing Officer to actively improve the profile and raise awareness of women's football and AWFC with the ultimate objective of increasing match attendances at all AWFC home games. In addition the main focus of the role will be to increase fan engagement and build brand and supporter loyalty.

Please note this role is a fixed term contract commencing as soon as possible until 30 May 2019 and you will be based at home.

Main Job Requirements and Person Specification


  • At least 2 years Marketing experience and/or relevant marketing qualifications such as relevant degree

Specific Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally in elite sport
  • Experience in building supporter bases and growing attendances would be advantageous


    • Knowledge of women's football, from grassroots to professional level is desirable.
    • Comfortable using all digital platforms, including a working knowledge of social media.
    • To be able to work as part of a team is essential.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Capable working effectively within strict deadlines.
    • Available to work evenings and weekends.

      Hours of Work:

      This is a part time, job sharing position and you will work 3 days a week and normal hours will be 09:00 to 17:00 however may vary due to business need; a total of 24 hours per week. Matchday, weekend and evening working as and when required.
