Enter our poster competition and you could win £150 worth of football kit and equipment for your team!

Hertfordshire FA is committed to creating a positive environment for children to enjoy the game, so we want them to tell us what ‘Keeping Football Safe and Enjoyable’ means to them by creating posters for our new Community Football Centre.

Due to open in early 2019, our upgraded facility at the County Ground will be a real hub for football, hosting everything from cup finals to coach development courses and regular training sessions, so this is a great chance for their voices to be heard.

In addition the winning entry will win £150 worth of football kit and equipment for their team, along with a chance to be one of the first to try our new 3G pitch!

How does it work?

Simply draw a picture that shows what makes a great environment for young people to enjoy playing football - whether it’s something that helps them to stay safe, or highlighting how positive support and encouragement can help improve their game.

We know that Safeguarding and Respect aren’t always the easiest topics to talk to about, so we hope this competition will create an opportunity for clubs, coaches, and parents to engage with young people and understand what matters to them.

Who can enter?

You have to be under the age of 16 and play for a Hertfordshire FA affiliated club.

What can I win?

The winning entry will receive £150 worth of kit and equipment for their team as well as having a training session on our brand new all-weather pitch. We’ll also be providing some special runner’s up prizes so there really is all to play for.

How do I enter?

The pictures can be drawn in pen, pencil, crayon or paint - whatever takes your fancy. They should be A4 or A3 in size, but remember we want them to be big and bold so they will stand out on the walls of our new Community Football Centre.

Alternatively you can take a photo email it to us at safeguarding@hertfordshirefa.com, although you will need to keep hold of the originals for us to reproduce should you win!

Entries should be submitted with the permission of a parent or guardian. Please remember to include the name, age and team that the child plays for in your entry, along with a brief description from them of what their poster is about.
