We are delighted to announce our new Chief Executive Officer

Following the confirmation in January that our previous Chief Executive Vicki Askew would not be returning at the end of her maternity leave, we are delighted to announce Karl Lingham as her successor.

As well as being our County Development Manager Karl had been Acting CEO since the beginning of 2018 and will now take the role on a permanent basis.

Hertfordshire FA Chair, Brian Curtis, who led the recruitment process said “I am delighted we have appointed Karl as CEO. In his time covering the role over the last 14 months he has proved highly capable and helped steer us through a time of significant change, including the major redevelopment of The County Ground”.

Karl said “I am extremely proud to be appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Hertfordshire FA. This is an exciting time for the Association as we work to deliver our part of The FA’s National Game Strategy and maximise the benefit arising from our new artificial pitch and Community Football Centre.

It has been a pleasure to work closely with our Board, Council, Staff and stakeholders over the last year, improving standards and increasing opportunities in football throughout the county. I now look forward to continuing this work in the coming years as we strive to make Hertfordshire the best place to enjoy playing the game.”

Karl has taken over the role with immediate effect and will continue to act as County Development Manager until such time as a suitable replacement can be found.
