Vacancy: Assistant Competitions Secretary (Sunday)

Could you help with the planning, organisation and administration of Hertfordshire's County Cup Competitions?

We are looking for a volunteer to support the Competitions Committee in delivering County Cups in Hertfordshire

The Assistant Competitions Secretary is a voluntary position and primarily manages the Hertfordshire Football Association’s County Cup Competitions run on Sundays, including The Sunday Senior Cup, The Sunday Intermediate Cup, The Sunday Junior Cup, the Women’s Cup and The Veteran’s Cup.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the competitions, including helping with the initial team allocations to the competitions, helping with the various draws, dealing with club queries, ensuring results are published onto the County FA website, dealing any disciplinary issues.

Attendance at regular Competitions Committee meetings is expected and attendance at the County Cup Finals.

The successful candidate needs to possess a good understanding of local league football and have the ability to liaise with club secretaries, have a sound computer knowledge, however, all training will be provided, and be able to deliver reports at meetings.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Sunday County Cup Competitions

• Manage the smooth running of the various Sunday Competitions
• Ensure all rules are adhered to and deal with any disciplinary issues
• Ensure draws and results are published in a timely fashion
• Liaise with executive staff, Referee Appointments Officers and other members of the Competitions Committee
• Attendance at Competitions Committee meetings
• Attendance and assistance at County Cup Finals
