COURSE DETAILS

We are getting ready to launch a new online Safeguarding Children course in April 2021.

We are currently redeveloping this course as an online learning module, that you can complete at a time that suits you.

This new course supports The FA’s strategic goal to raise standards across the game and will provide club representatives, coaches, referees and managers with an awareness of best practice in safeguarding children in football.

Focused on making football safe, the course will help you learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse, while understanding fears involved in these concerns.

The FA Safeguarding Children Course is designed for anyone that works with young people.

Register your interest in this course today and be the first to know when we launch.

Important Information

We adhere to a strict cancellation policy and by enrolling onto our course you agree to have read and agree to be bound by our Policies & Procedures.

Course Is Full?

Unfortunately we cannot squeeze anyone else on a course which is full and we do not operate a waiting list for unreleased courses. Please check back here for places becoming available due to cancellations or for additional dates being added in the future.

The course opened my eyes to potential issues that might arise and gave me more confidence in how to address them. It also confirmed that I am conducting myself in the appropriate manner and am using best practice.

Yes, you will need to attend this module as it is Football specific.
Unfortunately not. Each individual learner is required to book their place using their own FAN and Password. This is to ensure our information on medical conditions, emergency contacts etc is accurate and up to date. The booking agreement is always between Hertfordshire FA and the individual learner.
We run a variety of courses in a variety of formats –some weekend only, some mid-week, some a mix of the two etc. We ensure that we run the variety of formats and courses across the county throughout the year and attendance may require flexibility from each learner i.e. travel further afield within the county to get the dates best suited or be flexible on dates to attend at preferred venue. Whilst we try to provide as many options to our volunteers as possible we are restricted to how we deliver courses due to tutor and facility availability.
