The Senior Trophy started back in 1984/1985 in order to celebrate 100 years of the Hertfordshire Football Association and it also enabled 'second tier' clubs in the County to gain Senior status.
The first team to win The Trophy was Welwyn Garden City who beat Pirton 2-0 After Extra Time.
