The FA appointed insurance broker Bluefin Sport provide insurance for the grassroots game through the National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS).
NGIS appointed Insurance Provider Bluefin Sport offer exclusive, robust and competitive insurance products, specifically tailored to provide more affordable solutions to grassroots football.
It is mandatory for Hertfordshire FA clubs to have Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance in place in order to complete the affiliation process each season.

The NGIS Countycover Scheme is arranged by Hertfordshire FA as a group policy; allowing you to purchase Public Liability Insurance cover at a lower cost, whilst benefiting from the wider cover of a policy that has been designed specifically with grassroots football in mind.
Cover is purchased as part of the Affiliation process. This year there is the option to choose an additional level of protection with Countycover Plus, which includes cover for 'Player to Player' incidents. Further details can be found in the brochure below.
Public Liability Insurance Policy Summary 2020-21
Personal Accident Insurance is mandatory for all age groups and formats of football and provides protection and support for players, managers, trainers, committee members and officials in the event of an accident arising from football activities.
Cover must be purchased direct and evidence of this provided to the Association in order to complete Affiliation. Clubs who arranged their Personal Accident cover with Bluefin in the previous season will receive a formal renewal invitation from them in June.
