The FA Guide to the Laws of the Game

This new online course is now the official first step towards becoming a referee, but whatever your role in football, the Guide will help improve your understanding of the Laws of the Game.

What’s more it’s open to anyone age 14+ and is completely free of charge

The FA Referee Course

If you want to qualify as a football referee you will need to do The FA Referee Course. This combines an understanding of the ‘Laws of the Game’ with the practical skills to be a match official.

Once fully completed, you'll be registered as referee and will have a qualification recognised throughout the country.
