Lives Not Knives Workshop

Gangs, County Lines and Knife Crime Safeguarding Training for Hertfordshire Sports Clubs

Gangs, County Lines and Knife Crime Safeguarding Training for Hertfordshire Sports Clubs

We have been supporting Hertfordshire Police with their ‘Lives not Knives’ campaign that uses sport to engage with young people and educate them about the dangers of knife crime.

The initiative aims to encourage them to make positive life choices and realise that success is possible through education and sport. It is hoped that by encouraging conversations throughout grassroots football it will support the prevention of knife crime across the county.

As part of the campaign Hertfordshire Police are holding a free training event at the University of Hertfordshire in conjunction with Herts Sports Partnership and The Josh Hanson Trust.

Event: Gangs, County Lines and Knife Crime Safeguarding Training for Sports Clubs
Venue: Hertfordshire University, Hatfield AL10 9BL
Date: Wednesday 27th November 2019, 19:30

This will help you understand the facts around knife crime, gangs and County Lines. You’ll learn how to spot the signs and what to do if you have concerns.

The workshop is open to anyone who would like to broaden their knowledge in this area and we would recommend it to all those involved in youth football who want to help support the battle against a crime that can have a devastating impact on young lives.
