Grants & Funding
National & Local Funding Information
Investing for the future
From buying team kit to building a new facility, developing the game takes money. We can help you find sources of funding to cover some of the cost
Working in partnership with the Football Foundation, Sport England, Local Authorities and partner organisations, we aim shine to a light on the funding opportunities and grants available to the football community in Hertfordshire.
So whether you are looking to start new teams, retain existing ones, develop coaches, purchase equipment, renovate facilities or develop new ones; we are committed to supporting all funding applications from county clubs, leagues and facility providers.
If you are intending to improve your football facilities (which may involve 3G pitches, changing rooms, pavilions, clubhouses, grass pitch improvements or better indoor or outdoor spaces) please contact our Head of Football Development and Investment so that we can provide advice and guidance.
Please be aware that if you have already started work on your project (for example, construction has already begun), then it is unlikely that your project will be eligible for funding. We suggest contacting us first so that you don't miss the opportunity for funding.

Firstly you should contact Karl Lingham, the County Development Manager to outline your thoughts and plans. There are a number of factors to consider when developing a project of this nature so discussing these will help you shape and define your project idea. Not all project ideas are viable so discussing your idea at the outset might save you precious time and money.
Football's contribution comes from the Football Foundation. This charity is funded by the FA, the Government, via the DCMS and the Premier League. Before you can access their application form, you must first discuss your project with your County Development Manager.
Once you have discussed your project with Karl Lingham our County Development Manager and determined if it is suitable, you'll need to start the application process with the Football Foundation. Initially this will be by completing their Facilities Expression of Interest form.
