Berkhamsted FC presented cheques totalling £300 to charities at their fixture against Hoddesdon last weekend.

Berkhamsted FC presented cheques totalling £300 to charities at their fixture against Hoddesdon FC last weekend, courtesy of the Hertfordshire FA Competitions Committee.

The Charity donation is from the funds acquired following the club’s successful run in the Hertfordshire FA Charity Shield Competition last year. 

This season the Comrades have selected The Hospice of St Francis and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal as their chosen charity.  

John Burlison (Competitions Committee Chairman) and Paddy Donovan (Competitions Committee Secretary) presented the cheque on behalf of Hertfordshire FA. 

Earlier this year, last season’s Charity Cup finalists Hitchin Town FC presented their donation to Stevenage Haven, while Bishop’s Stortford donated to the their local food bank and an Animal Rescue charity. 

In addition the club’s donations, Hertfordshire FA have made a £300 charity donation of Garden House Hospice in Letchworth Garden City.
