Late last year the Hertfordshire FA Competitions Committee presented a £300 charity donation to Garden House Hospice at their annual Christmas Fayre.  

Garden House Hospice Care provides free specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses from across North Hertfordshire including Letchworth Garden City, Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock and Royston and surrounding villages and serving a population of around 230,000 people.

The Charity donation came from funds developed in the Hertfordshire FA Charity Competitions during the 2016-17 season. 

The Hertfordshire FA Competitions Committee also provides £300 to the finalists of their Charity Cup & Shield Competitions each year. The clubs can then donate the money to their chosen charity. 

This season Bishop's Stortford FC have selected the Animal Rescue Charity & the Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank as their chosen charities to receive the donations. While earlier this season, last Hitchin Town FC presented their donation to homeless charity,  Stevenage Haven.

John Burlison (Competitions Committee Chairman), Paddy Donovan (Competitions Committee Secretary) & Chris Spriggins (Director) presented the cheque to Garden House Hospice on behalf of Hertfordshire FA.
