SSE Wildcats Girls' Football Centres

Want to inspire girls to get involved in football?

Find out how you can become an SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre
The FA and SSE have developed an initiative designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in football

SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment. In 2018, over 800 centres took part across the country, getting over 20,000 girls playing football.

The sessions take place on a weekly basis, either after school or at weekends, subject to each local organiser. They provide a safe environment where girls who don’t currently play the game can have fun engaging with sport, make new friends, develop fundamental skills, try a variety of sessions and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.
Want to get involved?
We are now looking for even more organisations to take part and deliver SSE Wildcats Centres and help support our mission to double girls’ participation by 2020.
For more detailed information about SSE Wildcats, what is involved with running a centre and the support you would receive in terms of funding and resources, please download the Guidance for Applicants document.
The registration portal for new organisations to apply is open now (existing centres can apply to renew from 2 January 2019). As part of the application process you will need to complete and submit a Health and Safety Guidance and Venue Checklist.
If you are interested in offering a centre and would like any further advice or information please get in touch - email or call 01462 650210.
SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football has been established in partnership with SSE, supporters of girls’ football participation and sponsor of the SSE Women’s FA Cup, with support from UEFA, FIFA and The Youth Sport Trust.
