ProFutsal London’s Under 14 team became the Champions of England on Monday morning when they went head to head in a nail biting final against Kew Park Rangers at England’s National Football Centre, St George’s Park
The team took the lead with a great first goal by Yavneh College student Sol Dobrin and was closely followed with goals from Chancellors student Stanley Young and Bushey Meads, Ronan Ismaili with ProFutsal going into half time with a 3-1 lead.
The second half saw Kew Park fight back with 2 goals bringing the score to 3-3 with minutes to go, but a fantastic goal from Bushey Academy’s Jake Morris took the boys in front and onto an unbelievable win.
Other players in the squad included fellow Yavneh College students, Zack Freedman and Mason Gold, Alex Brickman (JFS), Dylan Meranda (JCoSS), Josh Nathan (St Albans), Jamie Roper (Stanborough) and Max Smith.
The team was led successfully by coaches Jon Kurrant and Tamas Gyenei started their road to the finals with a win against other Hertfordshire teams back in January and went on to win a further two rounds in Bedfordshire and then Birmingham to reach the final on Monday morning.
Jon Kurrant, who is also Head Coach and Chairman of the club said:
“It is a pleasure and a privilege to work with these boys. Half the squad were playing up and playing superbly and the other half were Under 14s who have an extremely bright future in the game. Thank you to all of our coaching team, especially Tamas Gyenei who has helped shape, structure and guide these youngsters into young but mature futsal players with great game intelligence. Thank you also to our committed and supportive parents and to our sponsor TMS for allowing the club to be able to develop and enhance these kids even more!”
