We were greatly saddened to hear of the recent passing of Dave Lewis, Coach Development Officer at Borehamwood Youth FC and former Hertfordshire FA Representative Team Coach

Dave was a highly respected coach and manager and fundamental part of Borehamwood Youth FC. Recently he had taken on the role of Coach Development Officer at the club so he could pass on his vast knowledge of the game to those coming through.

Dave had also worked with the Representative Teams here at Hertfordshire FA for many years, managing the U16 and assisting with both the U18 and Women’s teams.

His loss will be felt across the Hertfordshire football community and the legacy of his efforts will continue for many through all the players and coaches whose development he contributed to throughout his many years in the game.

Karl Lingham, Hertfordshire FA CEO said: “Dave was someone who was absolutely committed to grassroots football and his sudden passing leaves the game poorer for his loss. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him here along with the countless players and coaches that benefitted from his knowledge and experience over the years.”
