New Funding Available for Clubs

Apply now for funding aimed at helping the local game Sustain, Revive and Thrive

We are delighted to be able to support clubs with new targeted funding aimed at retaining and growing participation

The last few years have been challenging for grassroots football and we are grateful for all the hard work put in by dedicated volunteers across the game. The pandemic has diverted much effort into being able to keep playing safely and in many cases has interrupted club’s plans to expand, or simply made it harder for teams to keep going.

We are always striving to support our local clubs and are delighted to have secured some dedicated funding aimed at helping them to ‘Sustain, Revive and Thrive’. Clubs can apply for grants from one of three programmes, which alongside support from our Football Development team will help them in building towards a more positive future.

The types of projects we are looking to fund include:

• Adult Recreation Sessions (Turn up and play)
• Walking Football Teams / Groups
• School Club Link Projects
• Disability Teams / Groups
• Affiliated Adult Teams
• U6-U7 Sessions
• Women’s Euro Festivals
• Growth of new teams

The funding pots are split across three areas:

Sustain

This funding is predominantly aimed at adult male teams or clubs, who can demonstrate that they are at risk of folding due to financial difficulty but can prove that this support will ensure they can continue into 2022/23 season.

Revive

This funding is aimed at projects that either support people coming back to the game who have stopped playing, or that are creating new opportunities for people to play for the first time, such as sessions aimed at over 35’s or disability players.

Thrive

Is for those looking to build on existing foundations and expand, across the male and female game. For example, clubs looking to create a new ‘school club link’ to promote the game and get more children playing football within affiliated clubs.

APPLY FOR FUNDING

Closing date for all applications is midnight Friday 4th February. Successful applications will be notified by Friday 11th February. The total value of the funding pot for for all projects is £10,000.
