New Apprenticeships Announced
We are looking for two apprentices to join us over the next four years while studying towards a qualification in Sports Business Management
Hertfordshire FA is pleased to announce two new apprentice roles which will support the service we provide to the grassroots game locally and help foster the next generation of talent to build a career in sports administration.
An apprenticeship is an excellent way to study towards a degree, while earning a salary and gaining practical work experience.
Apprenticeships are an exciting and recognised route for those that are looking to combine work and study; you will have the opportunity to progress in your chosen career path with support from industry-leading experts and academic specialists at university.
Based primarily in our offices at Letchworth, these roles offer the opportunity to get hands on working in a specific area of the game over the next 4 years, developing a broad range of practical skills while also achieving a valuable qualification.
These apprenticeships combine the work-based placement with study towards a BSc Sports Business Management (Work-Based), aligning with the Chartered Manager Degree apprenticeship standard. On a day release basis, one day per week they will study at the University of Hertfordshire's Institute of Sport, on the de Havilland campus.
Upon successful completion they will also be awarded chartered manager status by the Chartered Management Institute.
On the announcement of these new roles Karl Lingham, Hertfordshire FA CEO said:
“We are delighted to be recruiting these apprentices into our organisation. They will be taking on important roles with us which will allow them to build their skills in a dynamic working environment where everyone is passionate about the positive impact football can have on individuals and local communities.
Combining their time with us and at the University of Hertfordshire will give these apprentices a major advantage in terms of hands-on practical experience, which will allow them to quickly develop the right skills for a long-term career in the world of sport.”
