Rainbow Laces

Lace Up to Keep It Up

The Rainbow Laces campaign celebrates its tenth anniversary this year

This year the Rainbow Laces campaign turns 10 years old. In that time, over one million people across the country have laced up to show that they believe sport should be everyone’s game

Hertfordshire FA is proud to be a part of the 2023 Rainbow Laces campaign and urge leagues and clubs in our area to show their support. This year the campaign will take place from 26 November to10 December.

More than a million of us have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ equality in sport over the last decade. But many in this community still feel unwelcome in sport, fitness, and physical activity, because people bully, belittle, and exclude, making them feel out of place.

We hope you will show your support, so that together, we can make football everyone’s game. Rainbow Laces have changed the game over the last decade. But for all the progress we’ve made, there are still those who discriminate against and exclude people from sport.

So while we should be proud of what’s been done so far, this is no time to take our eye off the ball. In this tenth year we have to do one important thing...

Keep it Up!

Keep up raising awareness. Keep up supporting each other. Keep up pushing to make sure sport is for. That's why this year's campaign challenges you to share with the world what you are going to 'Keep Up' in support of inclusion. For more information download the Rainbow Laces Activation Pack.
