Charity Shield 2024

Charity Shield Beneficiaries Confirmed

Funds raised will be distributed to the good causes nominated by the finalists

We are delighted to confirm the good causes that will benefit from the funds raised through this season’s Hertfordshire FA Charity Shield

The Hertfordshire FA Charity Competitions have long been an opportunity for the football community in the county to come together to raise funds for worthy causes in a tradition that dates back to the start of the last century.

The proceeds from matches played in these two competitions are collected and distributed to charities nominated by the competition finalists.

Returning this year after a break due to the pandemic, the top eight clubs in the county (with the current exception of Watford, Stevenage and Boreham Wood) invited to contest the Charity Cup, with the next sixteen entering the Charity Shield.

This year the Charity Shield final was between Tring Athletic and Oxhey Jets, with Tring lifting the trophy for a fifth time in their history. Over the four rounds of the competition a total of £734 was raised and this will be split equally between the following good causes:

Thanks to all involved for helping to raise funds by taking part, we are sure these contributions will be gratefully received.

Our 2024 Charity Cup final is scheduled for 3rd August at Clarence Park, with proceeds from this competition going to charities nominated by finalists Potters Bar Town and St. Albans City. Tickets can be purchased by following this link.
